Excursions in Capri

This past summer I traveled to Capri with Ash to support the launch of the Zimmerman store. They flew us in and put on a wonderful 3 day extravaganza for us.

Capri has to be one of the most picturesque places I’ve ever been. The quaint little village is full of life and history. The roofless taxis are driven by the locals that can get cars into the tightest and smallest of spaces. The water is spectacular and The Blue Grotto is to be treasured.

Whenever I think about Capri two things come to mind. Food and Jackie Onassis.

John F Kennedy and Jackie Onassis used to vacation in Capri often and I really feel her presence when I visit. She is so adored in Capri. Her pictures are all over. I love to channel my inner Jackie O when I’m there, I definitely have an inner Jackie O in me!

We took a 20 minute boat ride to Lo Scoglio on the Italian mainland where I had the most delicious Uni Pasta dish. It was not vegan but it was by far my favorite meal this trip.

Capri is a special island and breathtaking to see by boat. I love to go around the island stopping to swim  in the lagoons. There is something wonderful about being in the shade of the island when the sun becomes overwhelming and catching the unforgettable sunsets that made my experience one for the books.
